Our Review
E1 is less of a gym and more of a wellness destination. If your priority is recovery, relaxation, and looking after your body beyond just lifting weights, this is the best option in Gibraltar by a long way.
The headline feature is the 22-metre heated indoor pool, but it does not stop there. You have got a hammam steam room, a cold plunge pool, an infinity sauna, jacuzzi, sensory rain showers, and three private treatment suites using SOTHYS of Paris products. The spa menu covers deep tissue massage, facials, body wraps, the lot.
There is a fitness suite as well and it is decent for a general workout, but it is compact. If you are serious about heavy lifting or need a big variety of machines, this is not your gym. That is not what E1 is trying to be.
The whole place is adults only (18+) which keeps the atmosphere calm and relaxed. No kids splashing in the pool, no noisy changing rooms. It feels like a proper retreat.
It is on Devil's Tower Road so similar to Physique it is a bit out of the way if you are based in town. And the pricing reflects the premium facilities. But if you actually use the pool, the hammam, and the spa regularly, it is hard to find better value for the wellness side of things anywhere else on the Rock.
