Our Review
Ocean Health Club is probably the most well known gym in Gibraltar and the location is hard to beat. Sitting inside the Europort complex, it is right in the middle of everything which makes it dead easy to get to whether you are coming from work or from home.
The gym itself is good but it is on the smaller side. You have got two floors with Life Fitness and Star-Trac equipment, a decent free weights section, and a studio that runs classes throughout the week including yoga, TRX, HIIT, and rowing. The class timetable is solid and consistent which counts for a lot.
One of the big perks is the sauna and pool access. Not many gyms in Gibraltar can offer that, so if post-workout recovery matters to you then Ocean has an edge. The changing rooms are also really nice, probably the best on the Rock, which sounds like a small thing but it makes a difference when you are using the place every day.
The downside is the price. Ocean sits on the higher end compared to what else is available in Gibraltar, and for a gym that is not huge it can feel like you are paying a premium mainly for the location and extras rather than floor space. During peak hours it does get tight in there.
That said, it is a well run gym with experienced staff and if you value location, convenience, and having a sauna to wind down in after a session, Ocean is a strong option.
